Vice Provost for Administrative Resolution

The Office of Administrative Resolution is responsible for reviewing and resolving issues of policy, procedure, integrity and collegial relations that have the potential to impact the mission and well-being of the University. These issues include those involving students, staff and faculty. The Office works closely with other agencies on campus including:

  • Equal Employment & Affirmative Action
  • Employee & Labor relations
  • Student Conduct
  • Title IX/Sexual harassment
  • Academic Senate
  • Campus Counsel
  • Ombudsperson's Office
  • UCR Police Department

Administrative resolution of issues of integrity and collegial relations can include mediation, informal negotiation, and formal procedures of review and resolution. The Vice Provost for Administrative Resolution (VPAR) is one of four Vice Provosts who report directly to the Executive Vice Chancellor/Provost.
